Pam Branch Designs Pounds the Pavement with Her Jewelry - Part 1: Connecticut and Tapestry Rose

One of my first out-of-state sales trips was to Connecticut in June of 2009. My sister had to go there on business and invited me to come along. Before we left, I made calls to several stores in the Hartford area to inquire as to whether they would be interested in seeing my line of handmade jewelry. I was elated when several stores made appointments with me to view my jewelry collection.

Tapestry Rose in Rocky Hill was one of the stores I visited. The art gallery and gift shop is located in an old railroad station. During my appointment with the owner and founder, Sally Farrell, she invited me to look around her shop to see the type of merchandise she carried. I had a great time browsing in the relaxed atmosphere of this quaint, art-filled, gift shop.

Tapestry Rose carries a wide range of products including, but not limited to, ornaments, art, lotions, soaps, clothing, candles, and, of course, Pam Branch Designs' jewelry.

Take a trip to Tapestry Rose located at 240 Meadow Road, in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. It is "the perfect shop to find a gift for that person that has everything." (Hartford Magazine)

Another Fabulous Window Display at Finders Keepers Boutique

Casey Dunn at Finder Keepers Boutique in Decatur, Georgia gets lots (and I mean lots) of compliments on her window displays. Whenever I'm there for a trunk show, I hear comments about the clothing and accessories in the window.
Casey's eye-catching combinations of colors and styles have led many stylistas to arrange for Casey to personally assist them, at their homes, so that they too can put together the perfect looks.
I was quite surprised one day when I went to Finders Keepers and not only did I see Pam Branch Designs' jewelry on the mannequins in the window, but my name was listed as one of the designers featured in the display.
Needless to say, seeing my name listed there with Chanel was pretty exciting.

How Much is that Necklace in the Window?

I went by Finders Keepers in Decatur, Georgia a couple of weeks ago and was so happy to see one of my necklaces on a mannequin in the window.

The necklace is a one-of-a-kind piece of costume jewelry.   The ring is glass and the chain is aluminum.  Here is a close up shot of the necklace.

I love making costume jewelry - especially when it is one-of-a-kind.   I was so happy to see the necklace in the window,
I had to take another shot of it as I was pulling out of the parking lot. (You can see the reflection of my white car in the store window.)

First Friday at Joycine's Art, Attitude and Accessory Gallery

Pam Branch Designs was
Gallery in Macon, Georgia
during the First Friday event
on April 3, 2009.  My
handmade, gemstone
jewelry and several paintings
were exhibited during the
event. Ed Grisamore, who writes a column in The Telegraph,
a Macon, Georgia newspaper, had a book signing during
the event. He is pictured in between me and Barbara Berry,
the proprietor of Joycine's.

The store was originally opened by Barbara's mother, Joycine,
and now Barbara is carrying on the gallery's tradition of
showcasing fabulous jewelry and art.  She and her husband
are very talented artists. Her paintings and his sculptures
are exhibited in the gallery along with the works of other
artists.

If you are ever in Macon on the first friday of the month, or
any other time, be sure to stop in. The gallery not only has
art, attitude and accessories, but also has a welcoming and
friendly atmosphere. When you enter the gallery, Miss Barbara
is sure to greet you warmly by saying, "I've been waiting for
you."

Pam Branch Designs' Fall 2009 Collection Coming Soon

Pam Branch Designs' collection for fall 2009 will be available soon.   Our fall collection, tentatively called "Juanita's Journey" is inspired by the designer's Aunt's love of travel.  It is a mix of richly colored, semi-precious gemstones as well as earth-toned, glass beads.  The designs are based on Pam Branch's interpretation of "tribal" jewelry and her own vision of the jewelry she would encounter if she traveled around the world .
