As an artist, I get inspiration from many people, places and things. Carpets and wall paper have patterns, colors and textures that inspire me when I am designing jewelry. Usually, when I spot a carpet or wallpaper that has an intriguing pattern of swirls and curls, the first thing I think about is how I can sculpt a piece of wire to reflect the essence of the pattern.
